We know you don't really want to be the DD when all your friends are having fun.  You’ve got the common sense not to drive if you are impaired, and we know you don't want to have to find a ride to go back for your car the next day, hoping that it hasn't been towed, ticketed or trashed.

Designated Drivers of Alaska will provide a private chauffeur to drive your car and get both you and your car home safely and affordably.  Our driver will operate your vehicle.  We send a second chase car to take our driver to the next pickup location.

DDA started out as friends helping friends, and that’s how we think of ourselves today.  Our rates are affordable –not much more than the cost of a taxi.  (Even less, if you consider the cost of a cab fare to go retrieve your car the next day!)  We keep you safe and out of jail, and your car is waiting for you at home after you’ve had a good night’s sleep.

The average first-time DUI in Alaska has a staggering $22,000 price tag, 10 points on your license and it will stay on your record forever.  Don’t become a statistic –it’s not worth it, so don't risk it.

The base fee for Designated Driver vehicle delivery to your home in the Anchorage area is only $40.00.  For distances greater than 10 miles from the point of pick-up, there is an additional $2.00 per mile surcharge.  Additional passengers may be dropped off at their homes along the way for $5.00 each.

Our current dispatch hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 9:00 PM until 3:00 AM.  Please call to arrange for your ride at least 30 to 60 minutes prior to your desired pickup time.  Our drivers are standing by during these hours, however requests without reservations are handled on a first-come/first-served basis.  Keep in mind that our busiest times are generally between 1 and 3 AM.  We recommend that you avoid the wait by scheduling in advance.

Need a ride on some other day or time outside of our regular dispatch hours?  Simply contact us to arrange for the ride earlier in the afternoon, or even the day before, and we can usually accommodate your needs.
